2 Rodeos and 4 Pies

The Pleasant Grove "Strawberry Days" Rodeo. Not my favorite rodeo, but there were great fireworks after!
The Lehi "Roundup" Rodeo. So great! I like my cowgirl hat.

Rocky Road Pie.
Pear and raspberry pie.

Move over Martha!
Rhubarb raspberry galette and blueberry lattice pie. Obviously a hit!

Having some fun!

I love summer! I love being in the sun, riding my bike everywhere and playing with good friends. I also love summer baking and I have been doing a lot of that! This is a "plum gallette." I'm not really sure what that means, but it was delicious! I also like this picture because it is so BYU with the Y in the background. Thanks to Anna for being such a great photographer!

This is my lemon meringue pie that I was too impatient to let set up all the way. It was very runny, but very tasty and lemony.
This is a strawberry rhubarb pie. I bought fresh rhubarb from a cute old man at the farmer's market and Anna helped me make the beautiful lattice top. What a good friend she is!

Another thing I like about summer is bonfires! This picture doesn't really fit in with the others, but it's still fun. I was informed on this night that my jean shorts and chacos are a terrible fashion choice, but who has time for fashion in the summer?
This pie was one of my favorites! It is a mixed berry and peach tart with a cornmeal crust. I loved the cornmeal, it gave such a nice crunch to the crust! We all sat out on Braden's lawn and enjoyed the food, good company, and people watching on his busy street.
I guess the moral of the story is, if you're ever hankering for a good summery treat, hit me up some Sunday evening! Pull up some grass and we'll enjoy some good summer fun!

Loves.
